All For Roy is a tragic comedy about failure and unfulfilled dreams. Centring around the Dixon family empire it is a surreal take on suburban dreams and ideals. Trevor Dixon is the heart and soul of Dixon Mobiles and the centrepiece of the Dixon Empire. His hire car company provides for his entire extended family allowing them to live in gaudy opulence. Roy Lovejoy, a family friend and aspiring musician takes his passion to new heights when he holds the Dixon’s to ransom by kidnapping Trevor’s crippled sister, Lucille, to get the money to lay down his demo tape. Good people do terrible things as they clamber to find something that resembles success. Outlandish, desperate characters drive this twisted plot, as average people find themselves entrenched in blackmail, deceit and murder.

All For Roy has the garish home-made aesthetic of Napoleon Dynamite with the winding plot of Fargo. This is a world of one-piece suits, bad mullets and the suburban glamour of cars, luxury boats and trailers, mixed with deeply sincere but oh so tragic characters.
